What is a site clearance?

Site clearances are when you hire a site clearance service to come and remove all existing materials, debris, structures, and vegetation from a site. This ensures that your site is free of any hazards and is ready for construction, renovation, or any other development work.

Examples of materials removed during a site clearance include:

  • Old buildings, structures, and foundations.
  • Vegetation, including trees and shrubs.
  • Debris, rubble, and waste materials.
  • Hazardous materials like asbestos, contaminated soil, or chemicals.

How does it work?

At Recycling Lives, we’re here to support your site clearance from start to finish.

First, we’ll begin with a site survey, to assess the area and determine what needs to be removed, and the hazards involved. Once agreed, we’ll come back to the site to provide a full clearance, removing all waste outlined in the survey. You can also include our muck-away and commercial grab hire services – removing large-scale waste material and soil from site clearances.

As part of our waste management services, rest assured that your site clearance also includes the safe, legal and compliant removal and disposal of all waste cleared.

On top of your site clearance, we also provide removal and disposal services for a range of other non-standard commercial waste we may find on your site, including:

  • Commodity recycling – offering your business the chance to earn rebates from waste streams like cardboard, plastic, and PPE.
  • Corporate electronic waste –  providing WEEE-compliant collection, recycling, and disposal services for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, including large household appliances and IT equipment.
  • Commercial skip hire – providing commercial skips and ROLOs to support in removing commercial waste.
  • Hazardous waste disposal – ensuring the safe handling and disposal of commercial hazardous waste, including chemicals, paints, asbestos, and clinical waste.
